A Few MORE New Brews!

Got to work Saturday morning to find a pretty good selection of new goodies. Check it out -

Founders Breakfast Stout - Yep, it's back. No description needed, because in the immortal words of Beavis and/or Butthead, "If you have to ask, dude, you'll never know." Pairs extremely well with bacon and eggs.
The Bruery Autumn Maple - Quick molasses joke for you. Papa Mole, Mama Mole and Baby Mole were out for a walk one day. Papa Mole stops and says "Ahh, smell that wonderful fresh air." Baby Mole stops right behind Papa Mole and Mama Mole and says "Hmm, all I can smell is molasses." Get it? Mole asses? Anyhoo, check out the brewery's description of this fantastic sounding beer - "Brewed with 17 lbs. of yams per barrel (in other words, a lot of yams!), this autumn seasonal is a different take on the “pumpkin” beer style. Brewed with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla, molasses, and maple syrup, and fermented with our traditional Belgian yeast strain, this bold and spicy beer is perfect on a cold autumn evening."

Hinterland Luna Coffee Stout - "Opaque, black, coffee-like character. Very creamy, extremely clean and refreshing." I'm guessing this would also go well with the morning reading of the newspaper.

Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Wild - "Another Big Sister of the Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale.... Loads of Malted Wheat for a Curious Malt Foundation and a Light Color, But Our Belgian Yeast Leaves a Huge Flavor and Complexishness." No getting around it, complexishness is just a damn fine word.

Dogfish Head Punkin Ale - "A full-bodied brown ale with smooth hints of pumpkin and brown sugar. We brew our Punkin Ale with pumpkin meat, organic brown sugar and spices. This is the perfect beer to warm-up with, as the season cools." Quite possibly my favorite pumpkin beer.
Dark Horse Scotty Karate - "This beer is a big, full bodied Scottish ale. It is 9.75% alc. but it is very smooth and balanced." I can attest to that. A very well done Scottish Ale.

And the rest -

Southern Tier Harvest

Sherwood Forest India Pale Ale

Sherwood Forest Blueberry Ale

We received another fresh shipment of Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA and 90 Minute IPA. Both were bottled less than two weeks ago.

We also received another shipment of Bear Republic Racer 5 six packs and it just got put on tap at The Nova as well. Absolutely awesome out of the keg. Make sure to keep checking the blog for updates, as I saw a few other great kegs sitting it the beer cooler waiting to be put on tap soon as well. You will not be disappointed.

Enjoy!

  2. We have a bunch of problems trying to get beer from tyranena and I am pretty sure we are not going to get any. It usually takes 3-6 months for a new brewers gone wild to hit our shelves. Sorry try Heritage liquor White Bear, Zipps in MSP or 4 Firkins
